Last weekend, we celebrated the emergence of a new neighbourhood in Hvalsø: Hyllegaard Høje — together with the residents of Sjællandsk Muld, the first co-housing cluster where families moved in last December.
The event highlighted the new communities taking root here, connecting children, young people, and older generations across different forms of living: from co-housing and building collectives to shared facilities and everyday neighbourliness.
Visitors enjoyed guided tours of Hyllegaard Høje and Sjællandsk Muld, stepped inside open homes, explored livestock and community gardens, and experienced the spirit of sharing and collaboration that is already flourishing in the neighbourhood.
At EFFEKT, we are proud to support Hyllegaard Udvikling ApS in shaping this journey — from the masterplan and design manual to Sjællandsk Muld, the first step in a six-phase vision for the area. In the coming months, additional housing clusters and a farm — envisioned as a unifying gathering point for the entire neighbourhood — will follow.
The Sjællandsk Muld homes were co-created with residents, Hyllegaard Høje, Almenr Byggefællesskaber, and Enemærke & Petersen a/s.
