We are proud to share that Living Places Copenhagen has been awarded the New European Bauhaus Prize for Affordable Housing at a ceremony in the European Parliament.
The New European Bauhaus (NEB) is more than an award — it is a policy and funding initiative supporting Europe’s green transition in the built environment, from large cities to the smallest communities. At its core, NEB is about creating places that are sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful, while embracing the diversity of cultures and traditions across Europe.
Living Places Copenhagen shows that this vision is within reach. It proves that we can build affordable, healthy homes today that improve well-being and belonging, while drastically reducing environmental impact.
The recognition in the category “Shaping a circular industrial ecosystem and supporting life-cycle thinking” underscores the importance of rethinking building principles — and how such approaches can inspire real change across Europe’s housing sector.
A huge thank you to our partners VELUX and Artelia, and to Lone Feifer, who accepted the award on behalf of the team in Brussels.
