Biome contributes to the first CREE building in the Nordics

A milestone day at the site assembly of the first CREE building in the Nordics! And a pleasure to finally welcome the team and discuss how Biome will contribute to this project with our tailored interior solutions.

Located in the heart of Østerbro, Østerbrogade 190 is a new 6-storey hybrid timber tower that will house 20 fully equipped student apartments, a street-level café, and a new public square. Built with the modular CREE timber-hybrid system, which offers planning security, a healthier indoor environment, and lower lifecycle costs, emissions, and material waste.

Following the assembly, we were happy to host the team at EFFEKT to present Biome and our tailored design approach to working with the CREE system. We look forward to continuing the collaboration on this first project in Copenhagen.

Thank you to Frederik Spanning, Simon Verbik and the team: Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects (project architect at Østerbrogade), EFFEKT, CREE BUILDINGS, Nrep, Ramboll, GG Werk, Biome, HASSLACHER NORICA TIMBER, Stykka, Akademiska Hus, Löfte Project Development.
