A new partnership is taking shape to support the transition to low-carbon construction in Copenhagen!
The Reduction Roadmap team is proud to have helped the City of Copenhagen shape and develop the vision of a future where low-emission construction isn't the exception, but the norm.
The launch event will take place later today at Copenhagen City Hall gathering actors from across the entire construction value chain, joining forces to contribute to the upcoming Climate Strategy 2035. The strategy aims to halve Copenhagen’s global climate footprint over the next ten years, with construction accounting for a significant share.
The partnerships' vision is anchored in three key focus areas:
BUILDING PRACTICES: Sharing knowledge about construction methods and materials to drive innovation.
DATA: Sharing LCA reports to better understand the drivers behind climate impact and foster collective learning.
REGULATORY PROCESSES: Contributing input to the development of municipal regulations, local plans, and building permits — as well as addressing national legislative barriers.
The partnership brings together a broad group of strategic partners including private, public, and non-profit developers, development companies, and pension funds. It also includes knowledge partners such as advisors, contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers.
The goal? To inspire a new building culture—backed by data, shared openly, and built on collaboration—with the ambition to spark new solutions that enable buildings and districts to perform even better than the official low-emission class.
The partnership includes: KAB, Reduction Roadmap, Nrep, EFFEKT, NCC, PensionDanmark, Enemærke & Petersen, Nordic Wood Industries, Danica Ejendomme, Aaen Engineering, Københavns Kommune, CEBRA, Sweco, Artelia, Tegnestuen Vandkunsten, Lendager, Ikano Bolig, AG Gruppen, AP, FSB, Home.Earth, AKF, PKA Ejendomme.
