Tue Hesselberg Foged appointed expert jury member for EU-Vietnam Sustainable Design Awards

We are proud to announce that the EU’s Cultural Relations Platform has appointed Tue Hesselberg Foged as an expert and jury member in the Sustainable Architecture category for the EU–Vietnam Sustainable Design Awards (EVSDA).

EVSDA is a cultural and design initiative launched by the EU Delegation to Vietnam, aiming to promote sustainable design practices and foster exchange between European and Vietnamese design communities. Under the theme “Design for Everyday Life”, the awards feature four main categories: Architecture, Product Design, Communications Design, and Innovation.

Together with fellow experts from Europe and Vietnam, Tue will evaluate innovative solutions that represent best practices across design, the arts, science/technology, and social inclusion.

His appointment is a recognition of EFFEKT’s commitment to creating architecture and urban spaces that address major social and environmental challenges, as well as the studio’s investment in developing a science-aligned framework that demonstrates how the building industry can operate within planetary boundaries.

The awards were officially launched on May 17, 2025, at the TDX Ice Factory in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – and we look forward to following the work and the new connections being made between European and Vietnamese design talents.

Thank you to the European Cultural Foundation, Goethe-Institut Brussels, IETM - International network for contemporary performing arts, CREDO Cultural Relations and Diplomacy, Università di Siena and ELLE Decoration Vietnam magazine.
