Reduction Roadmap 2.0 – an industry-wide campaign to align the Danish building regulations with climate science

Reduction Roadmap 2.0 builds on the original roadmap by translating climate science into a coordinated, industry-wide call for regulatory change. Initiated by EFFEKT, CEBRA, and Artelia, the campaign demonstrates that alignment with the Paris Agreement cannot be achieved through individual commitments alone, but requires shared targets, common legislation, and political action.

Ahead of the 2025 negotiations on the Danish building regulations, Reduction Roadmap 2.0 created a platform through which more than 600 companies, organizations, and municipalities collectively declared their support for climate-aligned regulation. By mobilizing the construction sector around a common framework, the Reduction Roadmap evolved from a science-based transformation tool into a coordinated industry movement to influence decision-making and accelerate systemic change.
