Living Places Copenhagen presents a new way of thinking about the built environment – one focused on creating better living conditions for both people and the planet. Initiated by EFFEKT, Artelia, and the VELUX Group, the Living Places concept aims to lead the building industry by demonstrating how rethinking buildings can help address global climate and health challenges. Based on an open-source development model and a holistic, lifecycle-based approach to construction, the project comprises seven prototypes – five open pavilions and two full-scale homes – demonstrating how housing can achieve a threefold reduction in CO₂ footprint while delivering a first-class indoor climate.
