On October 23rd, our co-founder and creative director, Sinus Lynge, took the stage at the Royal Danish Academy as part of the Daylight Talks series with his lecture, “The Nature of Light – Designing with Daylight to Reconnect with Nature.”
In the talk, Sinus explored four of EFFEKT’s projects – Living Places, SIMAC, UMEUS, and the Forest Tower – each distinct in character and atmosphere. Though the projects differ greatly, they all reveal how daylight interacts with their unique contexts, framing and enhancing our experience of light as it transforms throughout the day and across the seasons. Through thoughtful design, daylight becomes more than illumination – it becomes a reminder of our deep connection to nature’s rhythms.
A warm thank you to moderator Karina Mose, Associate Professor and Head of the Master’s Programme in Architectural Lighting Design, to Matilde Serup, Head of the Institute of Architecture and Space, for her introduction, and to everyone in the audience who joined the conversation.
The lecture will be available for streaming from November 26 here.
Thank you to the VELUX Group for the invitation.
