Switzerland Innovation Park Zürich
The landscape design for Switzerland Innovation Park Zürich in the Dübendorf airfield transforms one of Switzerland’s largest development areas, turning a grid-based science and innovation campus into a life-centered landscape. The design integrates social and green infrastructure across the park, creating sensory, informal meeting places where life, collaboration, and innovation can thrive.
By combining a science and innovation environment with a park, the project establishes a fine-grained, flexible landscape framework that encourages interaction and connectivity. The contrast between clean, high-tech architecture and rich, diverse planting gives the campus both a human scale and a strong sense of connection to nature.
The history of the airfield will be visible in the carpet of pavement tying the area together with signage and colours reminiscent of its past. A patchwork of diverse naturescapes, art installations and multisensory experiences will offer opportunities for interaction and inspiration through nature and play.
As a new dynamic platform for research, development and innovation, Switzerland Innovation Park Zürich serves as a bridge between science and business. Its focus areas are robotics and mobility, space and aviation, and advanced manufacturing.
With overarching landscape design and execution guidelines in place, the first urban spaces are now being detailed.
