Stacked Gardens Fukuoka
Stacked Gardens Fukuoka is a new 6.000 m2 residential project in Fukuoka, Japan.
The Project is located on the edge of the city centre as a mediator between the small scale of the high-end residential neighbourhood on one side and the larger urban scale of the city centre on the other. This location enables the project to merge the qualities of the townhouses with the density of the urban context, resulting in a 6-story residential building consisting of a stack of smaller volumes. The stacked expression breaks down the scale of the new development towards the surrounding streets and buildings while ensuring better indoor lighting conditions and large outdoor gardens throughout the building.
The project is as much about the outdoor facilities on and around the building as it is about the homes and generous indoor common areas. Therefore, the building offers a wide range of outdoor common spaces, common rooftop terraces and private balconies where vegetation is integrated as a natural part of the building, making the new Stacked Gardens Fukuoka a true urban oasis.
Likewise, the diverse and functional living units and the generous indoor common facilities form a new community filled with shared amenities, allowing the residents to expand their homes to the common facilities and socializing with friends, family and one another.
