Together with Arkitema, EFFEKT has been selected to lead the landscape and public space design for Hospitalshaven in Frederiksberg. Building on our winning parallel commission, we’re taking the next step in transforming the former hospital grounds into an open, green, and welcoming urban neighbourhood.

Guided by the development plan “Growing the new from the old”, our work will focus on caring for what’s already there – preserving the site’s iconic trees, strengthening biodiversity, and shaping climate-resilient public spaces that invite everyday life, movement, and connection.

Our collaboration with Arkitema builds on several years of shared experience and is further strengthened by an interdisciplinary team with specialists in landscape, biology, utilities, climate, lighting, and mobility.

With a close collaboration with Frederiksberg Municipality and key partners, we look forward to helping Hospitalshaven grow into a place with a clear identity, deep roots, and a future designed to last.
