Hidden behind the historic facades of Gammel Kongevej, we are working with homeowners Naomi and Jacob Aisen to transform a 19th-century workshop into a contemporary home.
Once a small-scale carpentry workshop from 1890, the brick building will soon become a compact, light-filled residence that preserves the spirit of its craft heritage while meeting modern needs for comfort, daylight, and low environmental impact.
The transformation is guided by a clear set of ambitions: a gentle renovation that preserves the original character, and honest, high-quality solutions rooted in craftsmanship and material authenticity. Subtle additions such as a French balcony and a small new terrace open the home to light and green views of the new shared courtyard, connecting residents across neighbouring properties through collective outdoor spaces, greenery, and places to meet.
