EFFEKT is invited to participate in the competition to develop a concept design for the new Hammerbrooklyn Digital Campus in Hamburg, Germany.
Located on a 14.000 m2 plot on the waterfront, the Future Campus will be a innovation hub and future-oriented place, serving as pioneer for the Hamburg´s future development and making digital innovation tangible for everyone in daily life. The aim will be to merge functionality and design and create a new suitable and sustainable architecture language, that will provide a timeless and vibrant campus that will relate with the existing context and the water.
Other than EFFEKT, four other international teams will be competing: Bruther Architects (France), EM2N (Switzerland), Snøhetta (Norway), Proberaum im Oberhafen (Germany). The competition will be held as a multi-stage process, in which co-creation methods are integrated with elements of an architectural competition. The teams will kick-off the process with an IdeeAthlon workshop in Hamburg on October 28th, and the winners will be announced in January 2020.
The competition is organized by Hammerbrooklyn Immobilien GmbH, Art-Invest Real Estate Management GmbH & Co. KG in coordination with the City of Hamburg.
