EFFEKT has prequalified for the competition 'Nye tider - Nye haller' together with SLA and Alex V. Jensen A/S. The competition is aimed at developing new and visionary concepts for a new sports hall typology. Concepts that show how new sport halls architecturally and functionally can be designed to meet the needs of a new emerging culture of more diverse and flexible sport activities.

The competition is organized by The Danish Foundation of Culture and Sport Facilities in collaboration with the municipalities of Greve, Kalundborg and Slagelse. Receiving 109 applications, 3 teams have been prequalified for each of the three competition sites. EFFEKT has prequalified for the competition site in Høng in the Kalundborg Municipality.

The final winners are to be announced in June 2016.
